U-CAN Watering Tool [source]
Designed with ergonomics in mind, no longer will you have to exert extra effort to water your garden. This innovative tool will lessen the strain on your back, shoulders, and knees. U-CAN was inspired by the functionality of the elephants trunk. This is why I love nature! Most genius ideas are derived just from observing the environment around us.
The solid spout is intended to let you pull it on its wheels, pick it up without bending, and water your plants with more ease. The wheels are on both sides of the reservoir and assist the gardener with moving from area to area. Once you arrived at your lovely row of tulips, you can pull the U-CAN up by the spout without exerting strain on your knees. Another benefit of the long spout is the extended reach it has over traditional watering cans.
U-CAN was designed by Diane Dupire with the intention of helping people with limited mobility. Particularly seniors and individuals with physical injuries. Although I love the design, it seems the design proportions in the renderings are different sizes. When pulled, the U-CAN would be a substantial size, making it very difficult to pull up by a senior when filled with water. Therefore, the target market would have to be changed to a younger demographic. A smaller version would be more practical for those with limited mobility issues. I say make both! Great Job.
